How do you actually become friends with a MOT station, you see them once or twice a year, sit in a waiting room whilst some grumpy Censored Looks over your car

Not exactly the makings of a bromance or worth him risking his MOT station status Laughing

Think a custom de cat pipe is around £90. then it's a case of unbolting the cat section and replacing the de cat one. Flange on the turbo end is a bit fiddly but apart from that an easy job.

Were will i get this pipe from? Got a link?

Any custom exhaust manufacturer should beable to make you one up, try looking for a local powerflow dealer(search Google) or any decent exhaust place should beable to make you one up.

Are you getting the remap done again Sherlock?
Would be interesting to see if there's any difference in performance etc

I am going to see how I go with the current map and see how I go before I do that Ballsy. From the 40 miles or so I've done in it yesterday it seem creally strong with no fuelling issues. I am sure I must remap as it will need changing but the UKRemap build I have on it now is pretty flexible. TDV8 HSE, Remap (+45 BHP + 100 Nm), Taylored sport exhaust system by Pipe Werx

A company called Allisport, they are on eBay. I rang them n they said they do de cat pipes for the rrs and are just under £90.

Bear in mind you can only remove the CAT from vehicles up to chassis number 7a. At the moment it won't fail an mot, but!! New laws maybe coming in. If you buy a bolt on de cat pipe then as long as you don't mind swapping it back, that is if these new laws come in then it's never a problem.

Are you sure this info is correct?

New mot regs came in force on 1st jan 2012 and state:

"On vehicles that qualify for a full cat emissions test, check the presence of the catalytic converter." and reason for rejection:

"A catalytic converter missing where one was fitted as standard".
