^^^ Fair point Chris, I think due to the height and most people 'sliding' on the seats to get in/out, that causes quite a lot of stress on that part. Audi had a similar problem on their bolsters and would replace under warranty with enough whining

Mine was exactly the same and in the end it split the leather. I have an upholsterer friend who will replace the split piece
