That's rubbish - my mass dampers were fitted under warranty earlier this year. It's a modification to sort out an inherent and acknowledged problem, and that's a legitimate warranty claim. have a look in Bobby's gallery as Im pretty sure there will be a technical bulletin from LR you can wave under the stealers nose. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I have just told that because the car is under the Land Rover Approved warranty it is not covered but if it was covered by the Manufacturer's Warranty it might have been covered.

Collected my car on Friday after having the bushes replaced and the mass dampers fitted and it is a totally different car. The suspension is now so quiet with no knocking what so ever.

The mass dampers do not wear out as they are simply two 6kg blocks of cast steel bolted to existing holes in the chassis just in front of the No 2 body mountings each side of the car. It should not take more than 5-10 minutes to fit each one once the vehicle is raised high enough for access underneath.

Thanks Bob. Had the bushes done yesterday and seems to have solved the knocking... thanks the lord.. However, took it up the M5 afterwards for a wee sprint test and getting some vibration through the steering wheel and a slight pull to the left. Vibration from about 60 upwards. Do you know if this is normal post bush replacement and what's the way forward? cheers |

New ARB bushes would not cause these problems. The ARB has no effect on a vehicle going in a straight line.
