Your car has pretty much the spec I'm looking for except the single rear screen, I'm wanting 2!! Yes i know thats kind of petty but I've got it into my head that thats what I'm wanting.

2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

don't mess with the standard TDV8 sound it is sublime!!

lots of S/C will say their car is faster but that's exactly my point - if you want speed then either buy a fast car (neither the S/C, TDV8 or TDV6 are proper fast) or if you want a fast 4x4 then get something stupid like an X5 M.

if you want something punchy enough, with all the toys and tricks, that sounds amazing, and can still do 500 miles on a tank... then.... TDV8 all the way

I might be biased

Thumbs Up ============
2010 TDV8 HSE - ooo laa laaaaaaaaa
2007 TDV8 HSE - superb car and very reliable
============
2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!

Hiya, I'm new to the site and looking to buy my first rrs, I'm down to a shortlist between the supercharged or the tdv8.
What's the main differences between them( I know ones petrol and the others diesel lol), do they have a different spec?
I know there's a lot of support on here for the tdv8 so expecting the obvious..... "tdv8..... That is all" replies.
I don't do a lot of miles, less than 10k a year so the mpg doesn't really bother me.
How much is the servicing cost for both?

Cheers

Would really just try them both to get a feel, and then you can gauge if you have a pref, I didn't, gave my mate at the dealer a shortlist of ideal colour combo's, the fact I wanted most options ticked and full history, well cared for car etc.

I suppose I really wanted a diesel, as that is what everyone was suggesting was best, ended up with a S/C and am really happy with it, yes it does 14mpg, 17/18 if im lucky and gentle on the loud pedal, but like you don't do too many miles now, and get a petrol allowance so not an issue, also the S/C has a very nice spec standard so your always going to get a few nice toys.. S/C is awesome love the urgency for a big heavy car, like sitting in a powerful armchair leaving most things in your mirrors when you need too Thumbs Up RRS S/C, Factory Fitted Full HST kit, 22" Overfinch SS, Carbon Vents & Grill .. - FOR SALE - PM me for details

The one thing I would say is don't buy the s/c if you're going to spend your life being gentle with the loud pedal, that to me defeats the object.

Both are to be enjoyed for what they are and what they can do and the smile they put on your face. If you sound your time constantly checking the mpg I'd suggest you've bought the wrong motor Wink

Really I think that applies to all RRSs, none of them are what you'd call economical in the scheme of things, but none of us chose them for that surely Very Happy Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

I have a RRS Supercharged V8 for all the power I need and a smile a mile! I sold my Jaguar XKR 4.2 Supercharged (same engin as the RRS) just a few months after I got the RRS because although it was quicker it just wasn't as nice to drive as the Supercharge RRS IMHO

I also have a lovely push bike for when I want to go green and to off set my carbon footprint !! Thumbs Up
