Best cleaner for Ivory seats

As the title says, can anyone recommend a good product to clean off the dreaded 'blue jeans' dye from the seats, mainly the drivers side.
I wipe it every week but now the seat colour does not seem as sharp. Big Cry

Hi, I have Ivory too and know what you mean about the dye transfer, but I also have all of the below and am able to keep them looking tip top.

I'd recommend the following:

Dr Leather: leather wipes, by far and away the easiest option, just like wet ones, used regularly, it's easy to keep on top of the leather. Big tub of them for around £20, enough to last for ages.
http://www.drleather.com/Leather-Wipes.aspx

Slightly more incolved, something like this kit from LTT (leather care specialists) These people know their onions and the cleaner / protector will help you keep those seats looking Cool
This to remove the dye:
http://www.lttsolutions.co.uk/index.php/au...l-kit.html
Or something like this kit to maintain them:
http://www.lttsolutions.co.uk/index.php/au...0-kit.html

Finally, there is a more of a preventitive method, something like 'L1' from Gtechniq, give the a clean with diluted 'W2' then protect with 'L1' and they should resist the dye transfer more. You can always then wipe over quickly with a Dr Leather wipe too Thumbs Up

I've got Ivory and for the whole of the summer cleaned them every week with an LTT kit, since the weather set in I haven't even washed it and the seats are now covered in blue jean dye and filthy.
I've ordered some of the new Dr.Leather liquid cleaner today as I have run out of LTT foam cleaner and if it's not raining tomorrow will take some pictures before during and after using the Dr.Leather cleaner and report back. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

I've heard pampers work well too, I guess as long as there no lanolin in there they should also be fine, altho the association with filled nappies might be a bit much Mr. Green Have i got the busted controller?!?!!?

Right lads, the new seat cleaner has arrived this morning so thought I'd start the day with a look at the problem.
Bear in mind that for various reasons I haven't cleaned the interior or anything else for a couple of months and my planned Detail has been postponed so it's a lot worse than it normally is.
First up is the seats,as you can see the main problem is dye transfer on both seats and a bit of background grubbyness.

So what to do to resolve it?

Since I've had it from day 1 I have used the LTT kit and been very happy with it but have run out of the foam cleaner which as you can imagine has had extensive use.

So after doing quite a lot of research on Detailing World I thought I would give the new Dr Leather spray a bit of a bash to see how it compared,it arrived this morning,it is on introductory offer at the moment at £30 for a litre compared with the £15 for 150 ml for the LTT foam as part of the kit I bought or about the same at £35/1 litre.

So I guess the proof is in the eating so once I've done a bit of work this morning all being well I'll have a little dabble after lunch to see how it performs.

It's mainly my youngest daughter she is quite short and has a new pair of dark jeans and I have to take her to work and back at weekends so it's pretty bad that side at the moment. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Well just had just under half an hour in my dinner hour and the results I think you will agree are great.

I bought some nail brushes from our local farm shop which were only £1.50 each,1 fairly stiff, the other soft and used a combination of these and a damp mf cloth and apart from a slight bit on my drivers seat which will take a bit more work they look great again.

The main purpose of my post is for those that worry about jean dye transfer on Ivory is not to worry as yes it gives you a bit more work but it really is worth it.

Is there any difference between LTT and Dr.Leather?

Well it's obviously not very scientific but in my opinion they give very similar results but bear in mind mine were coated with the LTT protector from new so that might have made a difference.
One thing I would say is don't buy the LTT cleaning foam in the 150ml bottle as that works out very expensive so if you do decide on that get the 1Litre bottle.
Hope this helps.

p.s.
The pinkish hue seen on the photographs isn't there in real life it must be some aberation from the natural light/glass and/or iPhone camera.
There is some very slight blue hue still there on the side of the bolster but with a bit more work with the brush I'm sure that will come out too.

Nice results Chris Thumbs Up
So as I have a bottle half full of LTT cleaner, its not worth buying the Dr Leather cleaner just yet ?
