Knocking & anti roll bar issue ?

i have a really bad knocking from front nsf on rough roads and bad if i turn left to right driving along.

the car has been back to where i bought the car and had a load of work carried out but they didnt do the knocking as they forgot.ive been intouch and am waiting for a response but mean while

ive just had a quick look and i can physically move the anti roll bar about 20mm in and out.
i tried the osf and its solid.

isnt the anti roll bar a solid one piece bar ?
ive looked at pictures on google and pressume it is so only thing i can think is that its snapped and its not just a worn bush ?

any one got pictures of an anti roll or one fitted.

thanks
simon

It's a solid bar. Sounds like yours has broke if you can move one side and doesn't move the other side! RRS HSE with a few extras & a

Hi Simon

Your TdV8 has a hydraulically operated anti roll bar - it's split into two sections in an actuator near its centre. Hydraulic pressure is used to create a resistance to twisting unlike a conventional solid anti roll bar. The overall length of the two bar sections increases or decreases depending on the position of the ballscrew in the actuator.

Hope this helps a little.

Bob
