Won't start - No battery..

Morning!

Land Rover assistance on the way ! Sad

Car wouldn't start this morning... Low/no baterry which surprise me as the car is just over 2 years old and I've done a long run (3,000 miles) over Xmas and New year....

Hope it's just the battery and not the alternator! Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

Notice on MY12 they feature:

"An Intelligent Power Management System includes Smart Regenerative Charging, so whenever possible the alternator charges the battery when it is most economical to do so, such as when the car is coasting rather than accelerating".

So long constant speed runs will not charge the system.

I also recall reading something (but can't find the reference) that stated as a fuel economy measure the system would only charge to 80% not 100%.

Thanks...

but it seems the answer is much more simple... Battery test ok. Alternator all good.

The problem seems to be a "bug" in the bluetooth system.. Confused

According to the technicien, my car system could have stayed on because I stop the engine, continue my phone conversation over the handsfree system and then left the car... It seems that this can keep the system awake and eventually run the baterry dead...

Will keep bluetooth off for a few weeks to test this idea... Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

same thing has happened with my FL2 and others, pulled up whilst on call, turned engine off and continued the call on my phone, which resulted in flat battery in the morning.

Well the low battery/No battery happen again last night despite not using the Bluetooth on my phone since the last time it happen.. (see earlier posts)

Land Rover assistance came this morning and I am the lucky owner of a brand new battery as this time, it has been diagnose as faulty.

Hopefully, no more problem from now on! Range Rover Vogue ‘17 TDV6

i parked my car lastnight and went into the house, just as i got in, the mobile rang, i couldnt hear my mate untill i looked at the phone and saw "Rangerover" on the handset, it seemed that the bluetooth hadnt shut down, ( i know the car takes 10 minutes to go to sleep) , and was interecepting the call. i remembered this post this morning when i went to the car and thought "oh no Sad ", but it started first time, so mine must have been back to the dealer sometime to have the software update done Very Happy 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))
