Hi all,

Just took delivery of a metallic black, 4.2 supercharged RR super sport, wot a vehicle, such a nice drive, and the sound, oh the sound!!!! Just a question about the phone module/ Bluetooth system. Should a dummy phone have come with it, or does the phoNe somehow connect to the cradle. Both my wife's phone and ( I phone 3G) and my blackberry have paired on the system, but can't se how it connects to cradle, although not read instructions yet, being lazy via this forum

no need to connect it mate, bluetooth is similar to wireless. If the phone is paired with the bluetooth broadcast from your RRS(Land Rover) all you need to do is make a call and it should mute the stereo activate the microphone in the car.

They can be a little temperamental pairing, incase you dont have it the default code is 2121.

I agree with wireless comments and both my wife and I can connect via Bluetooth, but I was trying to figure out the cradle and if I need a mod to allow phone just to be plugged in and address book at hand, otherwise currently I have to pair up every time I get in and out of vehicle, after turning ignition off

You need an updated bluetooth module then,Wiggs is the man on disco3 he does an exchange unit.Its behind the carpet on the off side in the boot,2 or 3 screws 5 minute job it will pair automatically when you get in the car and your contacts will be displayed on the screen.I think they cost £60

IIRC the cradle you are talking about is only on pre 2009 models. It was only designed to fit Nokia phones and even then it was only a couple of models. As far as any modern phones or smart phones are concerned, forget it. They can't be plugged in and you will just have to make do with a blue tooth connection.
