No he's not, sand mode is supposed to give you the best getaway from a standing start. |

No mate, no joke. Sand mode apparently is set up so the traction control dosnt kick in when your on loose sand and kill the power to that wheel so as you can get out of the sand with constant motion.

Ok. Sand mode. Might try it once but the first gear in CS mode works very well enough... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Back to the original question. Received a Viezu Switch for my TDV8 about a month ago.

Tried the sand mode method. Yeah, works well. Better than CS 1st gear? Not noticeably and it's a lot easier to move the stick around than it is to mess around with the TR dial in my view. Anyway, to each their own 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Been using the command shift mode for a few days now and I think thats better off the mark than the sand mode, may be all in the mind though. I've also been combining the 2 and just read tonight about left foot braking instead of using the EPB, gonna give that a shot as well.

Remap! You won't regret it.... 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE in Artic Frost. 20" 2010 HST Alloys, sidesteps, Hawke tips, plus minor bits and bobs along with a remap. Four spike spiders ready for the Alps again now tucked up in their garage boxes... |

[If you use command shift to pull away just pop it into 1st gear and you will see it make a whole lot of difference but then don't forget to either pop it straight back into auto or use your command shift to go up your gears, if you use auto only to get away from a standing start it sets off in 2nd gear hence the slow get away]

Put your gear lever to the left it then puts your gearbox into sport mode, then push your gear lever forward and you are now in command shift on your dash where it usually says that you are in D it now says you are in 1 push it again and it goes into 2 and so on, pull the lever back and it drops down the gears thats your command shift it will also tell you so on your dash. |
