Mirrors can be re-enabled by entering the "settings" menu using the indicator stalk, very straight forward RRS gone

Make sure you get the correct battery if you go for non-LR. Just replaced the battery in mine. The one that died was the wrong rating (being only 80Ah/700A instead of 90Ah/950A)!

Thanks Mate, had a mare this morning three different batteries all should of been right one, all slightly wrong either too long, too tall etc, interestingly though you said your old one was wrong, the one that died was an original LR part and was 700A ? New one is 720A ? All fitted and working fine, so hopefully I'm good for the winter and on now RRS S/C, Factory Fitted Full HST kit, 22" Overfinch SS, Carbon Vents & Grill .. - FOR SALE - PM me for details 997 GT3 - X6 35d |

The now-dead one that was fitted to mine was a Jaguar Land Rover battery by Varta. It was the wrong rating though. It was also physically a bit shorter than the correct item. Your RRS is petrol, yes? They use a different battery to the diesels. 70Ah vs 90Ah according to the user manual. The one that died in mine was 80Ah. I think it was just a Jag battery that someone thought "that'll do, it's close enough". And it was. For a while. No idea how long it had been in there though. The correctly rated unit is a tight fit in the battery locating box on my car. As an aside, the dealer price was better than the local factors could do it for. I think the factor was doing a better battery but I decided that I'd stick a genuine LR unit in just in case there are any electrical gremlins during the warranty period. Wouldn't want them to have the battery being non-LR as an excuse to avoid sorting stuff under warranty. I know the battery itself isn't covered by the warranty but I can see them sucking their teeth and saying "wrong battery mate, that's what screwed the furzel-widget and here's the big bill for the new widget! Not covered by the warranty see coz the battery's wrong". We all know what the b ds are like... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Hi, after a low battery occasion you may see adaptive light warning on instrument pack. After you change the battery, switch on headlamps with ignition off, then just start the engine. Headlamps will calibrate themselves doing weird movements and warning will extinguish.. Hope this helps.. One life, live it... |

I did see the adaptive lights warning after my battery change. Didn't do the procedure as you outlined but switching on the lights did make them calibrate themselves. Might just have been lucky I guess. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
