Home > General > dreaded power loss on the TDV8! |

A turbo failed on my TDv8 at 4 years old and 78 thousand miles. LR picked up half the bill when I grumbled about it. I had to demonstrate that I was a life long LR buyer.

Hello - quick update, good news is that the turbo has not failed and that the actuator on the turbo had completely got stuck closed! They also checked the other one and found that one stuck on 25%!

Nice How did they fix actuators? Did they change actuator rods, which are available seperately from LR? One life, live it... |

Hello, the fault code was P0249 and the acuators were stuck and taken apart cleaned and re assembled. The car drives very well with more power than before and can now here the V8 growl!
