Sam I think I had the same issue as you today.... put LED bulbs in my rear lights and the brake warning came up and then the transmission fault and Dynamic light came on (amber)... the car lowered and I couldnt raise the RRS... put the old bulbs back and everything seems ok... was that the same for you?

I had a similar problem on my 07 TDV6 HSE, rolled to a halt with Transmission and HDC errors, turned out to be the EGR valves on the engine! 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

Classic case of not reading my posts!

a quick glance over, still can't find the answer. I found "Truck currently has 39k and is out of warranty" which doesn't help. If you bought it new from LR then you are in luck. ============

OUCH

That's really tough mate.

and as for WD... shame on them.... I thought the purpose of the top warranty was to ensure EVERYTHING was covered (I have the same cover)

Any idea on what the damage is going to be? RRS gone

Looking very briefly at the top WD policy http://www.warrantydirect.co.uk/pdfs/6727-...ryCare.pdf there's no reason this claim would not be met by it assuming you like a good fight. What is the difference between Luxury Care and Extra Care - which is the top WD one? ============

Extra care has greater cover than Luxury Care

Limited to cars younger than 7 years old and 70k miles

usually you start on extra care then slip into Luxury care after a year or 2 Thumbs Up RRS gone

I don't know what the difference is but the following wording means you have a case

"LuxuryCare
“Nearly a new car warranty” Almost all mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle are covered.
*The exceptional level of protection provides parts and labour cover for almost all the mechanical and
electrical components of your vehicle. This is one of the best extended warranty protection covers you can get
outside of the manufacturer’s warranty.
*LuxuryCare includes all mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle as insured parts covered against breakdown with the exception of those listed in Section “Items Not Covered” on page 6.""

Then in Not Covered for Miscellaneous Components it says:

"Auxiliary drive belts, brackets & mountings, cables, catalytic converters (unless additional cover is
confirmed on your policy schedule), casings (unless they have been damaged as the result of the breakdown
of an insured part), electrical connectors, engine covers, engine starting battery & all other batteries, fuel & fuel lines, fuses, heating elements & aerials integral with glass windows, hoses & pipes, hose clips & pipe
connectors, light bulbs & high-intensity discharge tubes (xenon), non-factory fitted alarms & immobilisers,
alarm entry switches, road wheels, wiper blades and any components not approved by the manufacturer and fitted by them, or fitted by their agents, when your vehicle was new and before it was first used."

Now, the CRITICALbit is, in Not Covered for In-car entertainment, telephone and navigation systems is says:

".....auxiliary wiring & connectors...."

So, by their own words, electrical wiring is NOT electrical connectors - the distinction is made. Therefore, fight it hard enough and you will get this through.

This assuming that Luxury and Extra are the same wording as above?

I just looked at the Extra care pdf, quite surprised the structure of it is so different to the other one (I assumed they'd all be the same layout, but different lists of included/excluded). Extra seems to be a specific list of what is covered, everything else excluded - unfortunately can't find wiring on the list of what's included or the term electrical connectors Sad ============
