2 ways really. The most simple is to bake the headlights in the oven for 10 to 20 mins at around 200 degrees. I'd check every couple of mins after 10 to see if the seal has become softened enough. Make sure your wearing oven gloves! The other option and the one I used (my oven was too small to fit the headlights in) is to use a heat gun with a funnelled head fitting and work your way round the headlights increasing the heat as deemed necassary. Took about 10 mins and used a spatulas to help break the seal. Before you put them back together just reheat the sealent up again.

Im seriously thinking of doing this to change the amber reflectors. Was thinking of removing reflector then getting black vinyl stuck over them . What do you guys think??? |

It would work but not sure how OEM it'd look. For the sake of £80 I'd order a set of clear or smoked reflectors off the fella in the link below

Think i might just cover the reflector from outside with some black vinyl ady done it, it looks alright, well better than the amber. |

Nah done it and it looks, well not good it's ok from a certain angle but others you still see the amber. Also tried the tint spray which works really well but still looks rubbish(see pic)
I split it in the end, replaced with clear ones from Mike and put halos as DRL's in at the same time

Contact phil@ca-at.co.uk regarding the Halo LED kit (They will have to import a pair of 106mm & 120mm Orion v2 Lites) The internals (after splitting) just need to be sprayed matt black No effect on the lights at all, you do not paint the reflectors The clear side reflectors can be sourced from Mike Stefan (USA member) and a link to his mod canbe found here http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic...p;start=15 RRS gone Audi SQ5...Gone Audi Q7 S-Line 240 3.0TDI Gone Audi A6 Allroad Sport 270 3.0TDI |
