Can Anyone Advise Me Please On Accessing The Seat Back ??

Good afternoon everyone, i am in the process of fitting rear headrest dvd screens to the car, its the rosen type system where you feed the cables through the seat back and collect them at the bottom but i can`t find a way to retrieve the cables. I was hoping someone here has had a similar job done and can advise me on how to get into the cables, do you use force to pull the bottom of the seat back ?? Big Cry

Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help me Bow down

Alasdair

Hi Alymac,

Did you manage to solve this issue? I am dealing with the exact same problem and cannot seem to find a way to unclip the bottom of the front seats?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks

Why unclip anything?just recline the seat 50% then use a fisher rod.I only say recline it so that you don't catch the roof lining with the rod. Thumbs Up

Have tried a curtain wire, but can't seem to find the path through the seat...plus the bottom of the seat is clipped together pretty firmly...

Thanks Bobby - Note 9. On your instructions looks like the way forward.... Now just need to locate the 5 clips? and tension straps? Diagram seems overly straight forward, am sure it wasn't that simple when I looked at the actual seat...

Has anyone actually done this?

cheers

From Memory I think if you go down the left hole when sat in the back it goes straight down easily.I've done 4 vehicles now all via this method with no problem at all and saves all the undoing of fittings and such. The fish rods I use are fibreglass so maybe they find the route easier.

Cheers MrFixit, managed to unhook the bottom plastic clips with a screwdriver and then reach up through the seat to meet the wire....Agreed the left side hole is much easier to feed down than the right, but managed to complete both....

I have temporarily hooked the dvd power to the cigarette lighter and they work great.... the units also have the ability to hook directly into the car's battery with +ve & -ve connectors - IS there an easy place to tap into the car's power under the seat? Really want to keep the wire's "on show" to a minimum, so if I can avoid using the cigarette lighter that would be great....

Many thanks
