My 2005 RRs 2.7 seems to have a lot of play in the lower front wishbones, causing lots of tyre wear. The stealer says that the RR parts requires the replacement of the whole wishbone, as the bushing isnt available on their own. Its big money. Is this true, there seems to be bushings available from several parts sources,

Anyone confirm this, any diagrams of the suspension.

Suspension bushes were replaced on mine last year under warranty and were picked up as advisory again this mot, so it is booked in for replacement under warranty again. I believe they only changed the bushes the last time

Their recommendation is valid, but for the wrong reason.

The bushes are available separately.

However, replacing the entire wishbone assembly (which comes with the bushes and bottom ball joint ready fitted) requires a lot less labour to fit, so the increased price of the wishbone assembly is more than offset against the higher labour cost to replace the bushes only.

Had my NSF lower wishbone replaced for same reason... more cost effective according to dealer  RRS gone

Poly bushes would more than likely last the life time of the car so you wouldn't need to keep changing them down the line, does anyone make them for Sports? I used to be a Powerflex dealer but they don't list them, only Disco and P38. Also checked out Superpro, Andy did you say Discovery bushes are the same fitment?

I've had quite a few M3's in the past and the front lower arm rear bushes were a common problem and always wore out quickly pending driving style. Fitting Polyurethane was a nice fix as they were cheaper than OEM, much tuffer and gave nicer steering input / feel through the wheel so expect you could get similar results with RRS's although you wouldn't want to go overboard, it is a RR after all!

i did the complete lower arms, £130 each to the trade if i remember correctly as mentioned not worth the hassle they need to be cut off in most cases anyway thus running the arm.

there are many replacement lower arms available to manufacture spec, use an indy, and the bill will be alot lower. Keep your old arms and pollybush in your own time and re sell.

hoses - £360 plus labour
suspension £350 plus labour

Does this seem about right?

I've just replaced all the front bushes on my 2005 Supercharged, to polybushes.
it has made a huge difference to the car, its a little stiffer but generally rides better with no squeaks or banging (which I had before).
Took my local indy a day to do, using the original wishbones.
Rear bushes will be replaced early January

Had my front wishbones replaced last year at local indy, just shy of £800 inc. 4 wheel alignment.
