Wait at least 2 minutes for the electronics to shut down.

When I had a slight issue at the start of the year when the car went in to limp mode (didn't use it for a couple of weeks) and LR Assist came out they connected the + and - together after removing from the battery for a couple of minutes, they said this was a "hard reset"? It's been fine ever since |

Well I have disconnected my battery today for 5 mins to try and do a hard reset in the hope of clearing this intermittent suspension fault.

You need to get the fault code read and cleared properly, rather than just carrying on driving it. Give Armson AE in Syston a call, he'll read it for not many £'s and likely be able to sort it.
