Except the Stelvio and Nufenen pass and the Autobahn - just over 120mph til lorry pulled out

That seems very good after all of the horror stories one hears about the s/c and fuel use.

I've just got back from a c.1000 mile round trip to Scotland. Mix of roads with a good chunk on the motorway and A-roads and my '07 TDV8 returned 26.5mpg for the trip. Got nearly 28mpg on the trip up!

My smack was truely gobbed

An emergency run to Edinburgh airport probably didn't help the overall figure though!  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

makes my 10-12mpg look bad

London to Ardrossan, and back to London. just shy of 900 miles. Steady (mostly) motorway journey returned 20.2mpg in a 4.2 S/C. Some panic driving on the way up along B roads (thanks sat nav!) to catch the ferry with 3 mins to spare...

only managed to do the Gross Glockner and a pass from Slovenia back to Austria this trip down south
