After all the suspension dramas of the 2006 RRS SC (it did finally get fixed in the end), we have bought a 2010 RRS SC. Looked at the X5M, but not a fan of turbo cars (already own one as a daily drive), Mercedes was all "bus" looking etc.

Fantastic car performance wise, but I have to admit that I'm a bit concerned about a few things........

- automatic steering column lock if the smart key is not detected
- start\stop button (lack of control - no key)
- smart key reliability........ etc.

Seen the massive list of TSB's for the 2010, and will be getting the car checked.......

the smart key implementation is pretty good, it takes a while to get used to and it is annoying that someone can walk away with the key and the car continues running until the next time you turn it off (although actually there is a 'bong' and message on the dash as soon as the key goes out of range)....

Range is good and so far (5 months) I haven't suffered any issues (although my keys are 18 months old)

2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!
