My renewal came through near the expiry period about 2 months before, it gives you a personal login to go online and continue with it.

Hi Eddie, I also have a 57plate rrsport hse. I am on my 2nd extended warranty. The latest was about £900, I seem to recall the first extended warranty was about £800. I got my money back on the first year when Thor starter motor went and it was in the dealer for 10 days whilst they got the part and I got a comparable replacement car.

I'd like to think a 20k mile car would be ok for a while but you're probably right.

Just bought a 43k mile 56 plate TDV6 and was quite pleased to find I could extend LR approved warranty from 12 to 24 months at time of purchase for £695. |

was the £695 only because you were extending onto your 1st yr used car warranty or was that the cost for a year regardless? sounds not bad if genuine RR dealer supplied? |

Not sure to be honest. Bit their hands off before they could change their minds! |

policy claims as they call it (just outside warranty) are common with manufacturers (well the ones that care) BUT as you say its a contribution not full coverage of the cost, it usually works on a sliding scale, age/mileage but if you havent had it serviced by franchise dealer usually a dimmer view is taken, in saying all that if you can buy the proper cover from the dealer at proper money , thats got to be best way as these beasties arent cheap to repair...

And you would definately expect a contribution from the manufacturer if that went, I think a letter from a solicitor based on fit for "purpose" would be in order |

issue being if you cant prove its been serviced according to their recommendations (got it done by non franchise dlr) they can and will walk away cos they dont need to do anything, especially when its way out of warranty and high miles, your goosed , solicitor or not |
