Hi all, any update on the release of the 2012 MY? anybody taken delivery yet or even got any pictures or even seen one? The official LR is still showing last year's model!

I think LR are too busy promoting their new baby and have forgot about the RRS

We have one on site and it's being prepared as we speak as a Demonstrator. It's a 3.0 HSE in Sumatra with a bodykit and few other goodies. Will try to post some pics soon (Yim in Scoand has a snap of it being onloaded from the transporter).

Thanks for the reply. Very subtle exterior changes on the 12 and along with the 8 speed box and more power it should be a nicely refreshed motor. Expecting delivery at the end of the month.

My local dealer is getting one in around the 20th of this month.

I think colour choice with the new grille colour might be interesting...

From the full fat site orkney grey seemed to go well with the new black front ..

I've got mine on order - its due in late October. I ordered in Sumatra black and plan on upgrading the wheels to 22" Kahn ones. Also tempted with the body coloured side panels and D pillar.

The closer it gets to arriving, the more exciting I'm getting... and its still over a month away

Dealer has called to say my 12 was built this week a month earlier than initially expected. Should be collecting in a week or so. Is there anything to look for on delivery inspection?

We managed to get our 12my on the road this evening, and I've driven it home for the first time this evening as I like to give each new demonstrator a 'shakedown'.

Very impressed indeed, very relaxed higher gears when cruising and very smooth between changes. Infotainment is as per Evoque so we've had a week getting used to it. A vast improvement, and Bluetooth Streaming is a nice touch when you leave your iPod in your usual car (as I did). I could go on and on about the infotainment, but in all honesty the best bet is to visit your dealer for a demo.

Rear end looks great in the flesh and the trim that everyone thought was chrome isn't! It's effectively an alloy coloured plastic trim which looks good. Power tailgate is useful (and impressed a guy who saw me put my briefcase in the boot).

With the exception of the rotary gear selector and TR/suspension switches it's business as usual. As it's fresh out of the box I've not pushed it so cannot comment on the power, however the gearbox alone gives it a more refined pick-up.

I can see what LR are trying to do with the RRS but for me it isnt working, all they have really done is taken the gear stick from jaguar (I know jaguar and LR are the same) i think this style suited the evoque better The one piece tailgate could be cool if it has the button thing you push to shut it haha 2012 RRS Autobiography, Fuji White all the toys
