Good Idea??? Silver RRS with Ivory Leather

Hi Guys/Girls,

Advice please.

I'm looking for a Silver TDV8 RRS with a sunroof (Need the Sunroof as coming from a 911 Cab). This one at Guy Salmon takes my fancy & I like the 'lightness' of the Ivory leatrher:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3103015.htm

But that is my taste and this configuration is not common - So is my market too small for re-sale??

Any advice welcome

James

I had that combo in my first 2005 RRS and initially liked it a lot.

My current 2010 RRS is again in silver but this time I went for the ebony with the ivory stitching instead and didn't look back. It's so much classier/sportier and much less feminine and tacky if you know what I mean.... SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

I've got Santorini and Ivory leather and both the outside and inside are high maintenance.
Although jean dye doesn't actually stain the leather it takes regular cleaning to get all the blue dye off .
Having seen Foxy's car in Siberian Silver and Black leather with white contrast stitching that's the combo I would go for if I was you it looks amazing and much easier to keep looking great. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Great thanks Guys

Not really liking the thought of the problem of the cream leather marking with jean contact etc

Any other comments welcome.

No body has mentioned a re-sale problem with this combo yet so that is good news!

2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Zambezi Silver

Looks Ok ! I've been toying with one just like that at my local dealer, but with the creamy leather, which has put me off somewhat as I find the cream quite strong on the eye, as for keeping it clean, I've had several cars with light leather and never had an issue with dye transfer from jeans or whatever......except I do have a bad habit of putting biro's in my back pocket !
The black leather with white stitching is neat but doesnt float my boat with black glass, the interior just becomes a black hole. 08 2.7 RRS "S"

Not really my cup of tea. I think the combo of the Silver exterior with the Ivory leather is just a bit anaemic. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

Thanks Andy,

They are quite rare with silver and cream leather - Its a toss up between too bright on the eye/difficult to keep clean and as you say & i agree the 'black hole' of black leather - In between would be good!

Resale should NEVER be on your mind when buying a car..............buy a car for what you want, not the next person.....

Yes agreed but I'm money conscious now after losing far too much money on my 7 porkers over the years and one esepcially being difficult to sell with the 'wrong' interior colour.

I'm torn between the ivory and ebony leather so either way I don't mind - So if a particular car combo was difficult to re-sale that would help me with my decision - I'm not that rich not to care!

Ha Ha Ha Ha, my previous forray into the land of Jaguar put me right back on track with an eye to depreciation when making the decision to buy or not to buy ! That stupid thing lost me £250 a week........yes £250, it might not sound much but try earning an extra £250 off the cuff !
