Does anyone know where I can get hold of a viscoun fan spanner removal tool and more importantly the holding tool that you put in behind the fan to stop the shaft turning.

might take you up on that, might need some additions to the Sport (tyres, Snorkel etc), and of course we have a "rest station" at Airlie on route, so one stopover taken care of please keep me aware of your plans Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |

Any particular reason you want to remove the fan ? Am wondering whether it's worth doing anyway and fitting electric ones... Ex-G4 Challenge RRS HSE, BV55 YZE. Subtle shade of orange ! Now registered YZE481 G4RRS in Melbourne. |

I'm heading to the Kimberley for six weeks which includes some of the most remote wilderness in Australia with some of the worst tracks you'll find and pulling a 1.2tonne camper behind the sport. I've packed a few spares but if I need to change hoses/belts it is possible that I'll need to loosen/remove the fan to work on it. Have even packed a spare compressor just in case. Started to notice an unusual bearing noise when we arrived up at Cape Leveque (North western tip of Australia) and was a bit nervous about heading across the Gibb River Road with a potential problem so headed back to Broome.
