TV Reception

How good do you guys find the TV Reception in the sport.

Sometimes its good, but more often than not its not great and i wonder if there is something wrong the dealer needs to look at.

Appreciate there is probably a host of factors that could affect it - but on the whole how do you guys find the quality and channel choice? Mike

I have no issues with my TV. I have tried it up and down the country and it seems to be really good. Better than the Tv in the FFRR anyhow.
Sorry cant be much help.
I do have one issue with it but not a reception one. Why is it that you can get adult babes on it and when you put the tv on its always the first channel !!! Smile

Thanks Guys

Its leading me to wonder if there is something up with it - or we are just not is a great area yet.

Do you get all the digital channels or only a selection?

I dont always get all the channels - like i dont always get BBC1!

Blast - the first niggle with the sport! Mike

unless you are in a medium/strong transmission area then you will have reception problems, even then if you are travelling the signal will drop in and out...most houses have to have an ariel on the roof to get a decent picture...

The RRS does have 18 individual ariels, all which aid the TV.

Is your tv an aftermarket product? Smile

No 2011 MY so its the genuine deal!

Just been out ive got 12 - a different few to where i usually watch it whilst waiting for a meeting i have to be early to in order to park!

No BBC channels here - but BBC there - certainly not all the digital channels.

I know there are 2 aerials each side, one on the roof and one at the front - i cant figure why its getting some not all the stations.

Quality wise - of the 12 it acquired - they are flawless

I cant see a way to test the aerials or signal - i looked in the secret menu...any ideas? There are a few logged faults for the entertainment unit! Mike

strange..
digital freeview broadcasts in multiplexes and the BBCA multiplexe has BBC1,2,3,4,news,parliment and 301 on it..if you dont receive any of these channels then either your not picking this multiplexe up [drive a distance to see] or there is a fault in your unit.

edit.......it could also be that your area hasn't switched fully to digital, if you receive from the sutton coldfield transmitter then this wont go fully digital till september... ..if that's the case you should get a decent analogue signal but not a good digital one...

I think we are going fully in September - so maybe that has a factor. When it gets some BBC channels digitally (News and Parliment usually) it doesnt get them all

Am i missing how you switch it to analogue - i have only been getting digital channels on the TV unit

Maybe a drive is in order! Mike
