Sorry to hear that mate...nothing worse than losing connection....take it to Apple shop and see what they say...their warranty should cover it in store too....

Loads of people talking technical about router settings on the internet, I only know that mine works fine with my apple time capsule wireless N router and various routers at friends & families houses.
I used it in 3 different hotels across 3 countries earlier this month when on a business trip and there were no issues with dropped connections except in Budapest when the hotel required you logged in via a web portal. But I had the same issue with my iPhone so cannot blame the iPad 2 for that.

As NickM has said, take it back directly to Apple, see a 'Genius' instore and see if they can't swap it out for you.

Spoke to Apple but they say as I bought it from PCworld they must sort it - Apple are normally excellent when I buy from them

for videos there is no need to convert files, which is a hassle and time consuming. there are lots of apps that play videos in all formats without conversions. I tried many. My personal best is AVPlayerHD, which also reads subtitles (not soo important for English native speakers).
With the use of a pen drive, apple cck and ifile you can also upload movies directly from pen drive to ipad without using pc. My name: Patryk

After starting chargeback on my card and involving consumer direct my Ipad 2 has gone 2 days without losing wifi/internet

Did update last week but still had problems until couple of days ago when suddenly started working

Finally a result

Trading standards contacted pcworld - guess what - they made a mistake, they are responsible, yes I can have a refund but would I like a replacement

Why oh why do companies dig heels in and back down when court/authorities get involved - no wonder which rated them number 98 out of 100 companies for customer service
