it looks like that Bobby, but definitely nothing amber... the sat nav warned at the start that I wouldn't have enough fuel for the journey to complete, would this override the amber light? ============

I wouldn't be surprised if the fuel required in the system to prime equates for the difference Mike

plausible but firstly it wasn't like that on the last one (used to warn with a good 50 miles or so to go) and secondly i got down to 4 miles left.... ============

How many miles of fuel did you have left? As mentioned the warning doesn't come on until you have less than 30 miles which is very late and is more like only 1 gallon left. can someone post a picture of what the amber light looks like in a MY10, so that I can exclude "being thick" from the list of possibilities before I raise the issue to the dealer, cheers ============

if your fuel indicator indicates the fuel level bad way, ask your dealer because there are several VIN´s afected by a series of fuel tank level sensor that send a wrong signal to the fuel indicator, mine MY10 was affected by this failure and was corrected by warranty, two sensor in tanks, two sensors changed in mine, the corrective campaign was by request, if you detect something wrong tell your dealer that it hessitates . |
