Suspension fault: Pressure increases too slow...

Recently after running the car for 2 or 3mins i get the yellow suspension warning on the dash
Range Rover Sport HSE V8 4.4L 2006 model

took it to the mechanic shop and on the computer screen it says:

C1A20-64: PRESSURE INCREASES TOO SLOW WHEN FILLING RESERVOIR.
signal plausability error

he's not the best mechanic with the best experience and he's claiming he needs to change the air supenion compressor unit and it will cost around $1,000

wanted to check if anyone has an idea about this or been through this before

hi

hi i have just had the same thing on my sport,
same symptoms and same steering wheel on the dash the only thing that cured it was a new compressor pump
as it took ages to pump up the vehicle

If the compressor can be heard running (trying to fill up the air reservoir) sometimes the fault can be the exhaust valve on the compressor block I believe. This will relieve pressure if stuck open so could be why its taking a long while to pressurise the reservoir. And a far cheaper repair.

Good luck. 2007 RRS TDV8 Stornaway Grey with lots of smiles..
