My First Lovely RR Sport - My First Off Roader Of Any Type

Hi Guys first post from a nearly first time RR sport owner

I have a Jag XFR and a Merc SL55, Im chopping the Jag in for a (hopefully) RRs TDV8 2010 which is at Land Rover about to be shipped to a dealer hence I havent seen it or a pic

I have some questions, I have a print off of the car spec send over and questions are:

Almond premium leather seats - is that the stuff with holes in ?
Type 2 alloys - the brochure has 1,3,4,5,6 no type 2 ? is that the 5 spoke design ?
Hi Ice branded and single CD MOST branded - Im hoping thats HK Logic 7
Fuel burning heater - is that a cabin pre heater ?
Ebony / Almond IP Facia - obviously leather but IP ? Also says PVC IP pack

Im really up for this, I never thought about a RRs before and now I have I cant think why i didnt get one ages ago - the engine is superb

Any help on the above stuff appreciated Very Happy First time 4*4 owner

Spooky !

Hi Dave - fancy seeing you here !

Getting one for the missus - 4.2 SC, black with Ivory interior. Couldn't let the SL go without getting another supercharged in the fleet Smile

Cheers

Jonny

I hate my Jag so the RRs is my get out BUT getting one with a hifi in it is near impossible.

The standard HK with lame sub and speakers is ok for radio listening but I need the Logic 7 (you will have this in your SC Im sure) for my banging tunes

Thing is the dealers get confused and the website search is poor - all in all its a crappy experience so far First time 4*4 owner

Dave,

Welcome to this motley crue!

My car has what I think is a standard HK sound system and it's fine!

Pump up the base and let the tunes roll. I'm in and about town nearly every day - you'll hear me coming. Very Happy

I went to buy a TDV8 HSE, connected my iPhone and yes it's a great standard system but I do want the better system.

Autobiographys have it, so do S/C cars and anything with a lux pack

My Jag has the top B&W system fitted and it's very good, I've got used to it and thought it was no biggy choosing a RRs with the option but as I have said it's not common.

Budget under £50 if anyone sees one (not white though) missus says so. First time 4*4 owner

2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Galway Green

Welcome from mbclub Dave! The standard audio setup is HK, just not logic7. Have you heard it in a 2010 car? It really is excellent. I've seen very few approved used with Logic7.

I'm not sure what type 2 alloys are. Best check with the dealer?

Lol no hiding in cyberworld !

Land Rover have released a lot of 12 month or more RRS onto the market

Farnell and inchcape have loads and I was happy with a V8 with sunroof at £45k 13 months old
Buck blue

Now I'm a bit desperate and I've found a SC SILVER 59 plate with the Logic 7, that night be the one but I dud fancy the V8d

It's a case of looking and asking I suppose but I'm definitely joining the club !!! First time 4*4 owner

Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey

I have the HK Logic 7 system in my RRS, although I'm currently in a loan car which doesn't have it. TBH it's not as bad as I was expecting and sounds pretty good. Having come from a Jaguar XF which had the B&W system - neither of the RRS systems come close IMHO. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.

Gone: 3.0 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black, Ivory/Lunar interior, grand black lacquer finish, HK Logic 7.1 Surround, Privacy Glass, Adaptive Xenons, heated steering wheel.

Gone: Jaguar XF Luxury, Pearl Grey, Dove Interior

Well one solution is a bass box on velcro in the boot, it takes a speaker input and is self amplified needing power.

After relistening its bass thats missing as the RRs has no parcel shelf / boot and this may do the trick First time 4*4 owner

I agree - the logic 7 didnt do too much extra (puts 2 speakers above the rear seat headrest) Mike

Did you play with the settings? The standard HK setup does include a sub and you can adjust the level through the audio settings. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award
