New to the RRS, got my 07 plate HSE a couple of weeks ago and loving it.

Got a small knock from the front suspension, but fairly sure i know what that is !

But was standing outside the car about to fill it up the other day, the fuel flap would not open till i pressed the unlock button on the remote again.... good !

But as i was standing there filling car, with keys in my pocket, (not being played with) the car locked itself.

I unlocked it again with the key and put it back in my pocket, again, it locked itself.

Did not understand this, does it have an auto lock if the keys are out of the ignition, (if so how do i turn it off)

If you dont open one of the doors it will lock itself.  2006 S/C Bonatti Grey, OEM Steps, LAND ROVFR Mud Flaps, Soft/Smooth steering wheel, 2010/11 HST Wheels.

So if i got out to fill up or was doing some work on the car and left the keys on the seat and shut all the doors, it would lock itself ?

Ouch, will need to watch that if that is the case. might end up getting locked out

I did that in the middle of nowhere in the dark having just packed up fishing,keys in boot whilst I changed out of my wellies,had a pee,shut back door,kerplunk door locked,phone and wallet on full view on dashboard,had to get my mate to pick my wife up and drive 40+ miles with my spare keys!!!
Just so you know LR Recovery will take your car home but charge you for the additional cost of the crane attachment to pick the car up onto a low loader as they aren't allowed to drag it up the ramp. MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

No, the car will only lock itself if you unlock the car with the remote but don't open any doors for about 20 seconds, if you unlock your car then open any of the doors then shut them again without putting your key in the ignition it will NOT lock itself. your fuel flap is locked when the doors are locked but unlocks when you unlock the car, you just need to push it inwards then release the flap to open it
I will have to try and type faster, but its difficult when customers keep ringing you as you are typing

do both the tailgate doors count a "doors"

Just to clarify,if all 4 doors are locked but the tailgate is open with the key inside and you then shut the boot it will lock because thats what I did  MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.
