I personally dont like the whole LPG thing. Id say get one with lower mileage and leave it standard petrol.

I got my old X5 3.0i petrol converted, it worked out half the price of running it on petrol, u get a little reduction in yor road tax aswel but I mean little. Theyre was no loss in power and didn't effect the car at all so it was worth getting it fitted. It's only really worth doing if u plannin on keepn the car for a couple years so u get back the money u spent on install. I thnk the issue with land rovers being lpg'd is that the cylinder heads are softer and get hotter wen runnin on gas but if you got it installed at a decent place they fit sum kinda mechanism that cools the engine, sounds serious but it's common practice. I would recommend getting LPG if u already hav a supercharged car but in yor case I would ring round first for a quote and then work out wetha it's worth Getting the cheapa s/c or if 4 a extra 2grand wil get u a diesel tdv6. Thumbs up for LPG tho! Speak to someone reputable for advice and price, I dealt with CLS dualfuel at Durham they were spot on and very well known. Hope that helps |
