2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Galway Green

You tell me but looking at a BMW 5 series Touring.

I've got a new 530d Touring. The engine and gearbox is very impressive, very quick whilst easily returning 40mpg but I've found it hard to really bond with the car, it's just too dull overall so I'm looking to change. It the quickest I have ever got bored of a car.

Also be aware it does have quite a sloping rear window which might now be good for the dogs. WINNER - 2009 ‘Just Doing What It’s Designed To Do’ Award

2010 TDV8 HSE Galway Green - Adaptive Cruise - Sunroof - Privacy Glass - 5 Spoke Alloys

Im getting about 30-32 on my sport - better than the disco and defender (not that i would be seen dead in a BMW) but are they really that much better.

When i have done the maths you would need to make it high 40's to mid 50's to really see any difference (a bit like these 2p off a l of fuel offers, saves only about £4)

Freelanders were floating around 40mpg on the .e we had. Mike

Trouble with the Freelander is that I would be wanting a RRS. Evogue - too small, need 5 seats. Mondeo - let me think....................... Neutral 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

BMW or not VA, you will soon tire of being one of the Tom Dick and Harry droid stuck down on the floor............as much as I like my Audi and with the impressive MPG, it is boring as hell compared to a Range Rover.

Lets hope they bring something hybrid out soon or better still invest in one of these cheap puppies:

Boring as the Mondeo is, it serves a purpose. I normally commute on a motorbike but during winter, I get myself a winter hack. The Mondeo was cheap to run and I don't care what happens to it.

The mileage you're doing, you could run something like my Mondeo for 2mths, bin it and still be quids in. "Banger-nomics" I heard it described as once...

Then, like me, you can keep your TDV8 RRS for 'smart'. Very Happy

M

I was blocked from buying a Bentley GTC because of the unsightly 'B' emblem at the centre of each wheel. But the joke was on her - I couldn't afford it anyway! That'll teach her. But she made me buy a brown RRS instead. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
