Anyone wrapped a 2006 rrs in matte black? Look any good? Any pics?

My rrs is black already but sick and tired of door dings showing up etc, so thought a wrap could be in order and thought why not matte

Q: Will vehicle wrapping damage the vehicle?
A: Applying specialist vehicle wrapping film to your vehicle will not damage your paintwork. However If you already have stone chips, abrasions or rust patches on your paintwork it’s important to remember that when the vinyl is removed it may pull loose paint off with it. Smile

Wonder if you can do that legally in a Pay and Display if you put 2 tickets in your dash,it really pees me off when people park so close I have to squeeze my not unsubstantial frame through a 12" gap ??? MY2011 HSE Santorini/Ivory/Piano Black/Privacy Glass/TV .Sadly gone.

Wraps do not damage cars if applied and removed correctly , use wraps on race cars saves a lot of repainting on front ends. I did wrap a car for a Euro run and the great thing is that you come back after a 1800 miles blast and no stone chips of course Smile.

Would i wrap a Range Rover hmm that would be a N0 , unless your paintwork is poor it is far cheaper than a respray of course ! Laughing 2014 5.0SC AB

I wondered about that the other day aswell.Legally why not?Peed of other car park users may be the problem I feel Wink I had a great er discussion last week with a parking/security attendant at Middlebrook(shopping complex)re me parking in 2 spaces,he followed me and told me to move it ,I said if he gave me £50 I would as this is what it has cost me on each of the two previous weekends to have the dents removed Crying or Very sadI then just walked off, when I got back I had a sticker on asking to be more considerate to other parkers, what a joke Mad

If you change your car from say a Santorini as it left the factory to a Pearl White wrap how do you declare it to your insurer or the DVLA? Do you inform them or run the risk of a) being uninsured as the car is not as described for insurance purposes b) not as described on the V5 and in the DVLA database

Ok so it is the described colour underneath the warp but if your car is stolen what to the police look for - as described in the national database or by your description of the car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I thought It was only a temporary colour change Tim, so you don't need to declare it? Confused I'm not 100% sure though.

I guess this is another loop hole they will be closing, but seen as you have to notify dvla of any colour change of your vehicle also your insurance company no matter if its painted or wrapped, i can see another clause been added sometime very soon to all insurance policys.

How long before some "bright spark" / Censored Censored tries to have a matt finish on the glass, or maybe stick on mud?

Stick on mud - you used to be able to buy aerosol spray on mud for real Chelsea Tractors that never went out of town........
It's much cheaper and more fun just to use the car like it should be and take it offroad. I suppose you could go for the matt beige wrap though................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Got to agree, if you want the Mud look, then you have to go off road, however, trust me, it is a lot better if it's not your own vehicle and damage is not an issue. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.
