performance enhancement to v8

has anyone on the forum did anything to improve the performance of the RRS V8?

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Hi

is your car a TDV8,normally aspirated or a supercharger petrol?

it is a normally aspirated petrol v8

Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Hi

these are quite rare beasts over here

If I remember rightly it was a BMW engine if you get the engine code which will be something like M52 I think it is the start of the engine ID number it will be on your log book (if you country has such a thing) then head to some of the Beemer web sites

In general though to get big gains your a talking fairly big sums of money

Somebody might do a turbo or super charger kit for them

or change to a 4.2 supercharger engine?

no its the jaguar engine - the same as used in the supercharged version.

Yes your right it is the Jag engine,

But once you get passed the usual chip, filter and exhaust changes you start to get into big money so whether its better to keep the cash and trade to a supercharger which is already set up to handle the extra power its up to you
