The delay could be due to a faulty EGR Valve or Valves. Dealer can identify this from error codes.

i dont know if this is out of turn ............but, they all do that dont they? lazy auto combined with turbo lag on a diesel will result in the car having a 1 or 2 second delay until it is "on cam"

Condensation inside the car could also be if you have not been leaving the climate control on all the time - it has a dehumidifying benefit. If you have a sunroof, are the drains clear? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

They all do it in Drive and to a lesser extent in Sport but not at all in Command Shift - it is not turbo lag as it does not happen in Command Shift.

Software updates fixed this issue on mine. I used to have to use sport mode for roundabouts but now it is fine. The update was done a couple of years ago. TDV6, MYO7 Java with Ivory leather, 19 inch wheels |

My very new MY11 TDV6 has just come back from 7 days in the hands of the dealer, being driven by a staffer, to try and replicate a problem I was having. I had many instances of a 2-3 second delay in acceleration, usually after approaching an intersection and then attempting to, reasonably, accelerate through it. Worst time I was doing a right hand turn, slowly entered the intersection, waited for approaching traffic to clear, foot down, then further down to the floor, engine just idled, by which time more oncomings were approaching, then suddenly off we went at full acceleration into the face of the traffic. That was a 5 second delay!

H, if these return then get the dealer to check out the Wheel speed sensors, i had this exact problem in terms of warnings http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post282208.html#282208 ... giving duff info back to the systems and informed me it was disabling all electronic safety aides... Fingers crossed it has been fine since one sensor was changed Thanks Jim Another Pommie Bar Steward down under MY20 Defender 110 SE P400 Eiger/Ebony MY10 3.0 RRS TDv6 Fuji/Ebony/Anigre |
