Help needed ASAP

Hi,
Recently bought an OE detachable tow bar from a member on here, got round to give it a trial fitting today (as I'm towing on monday) and I can't get it to lock in place.

I've tried socking in WD40 and all sorts of combinations of key in locked and unlocked positions.

Is there anyone in or around the Wrexham/Chester area very familiar with the OE detachable tow bar in a position to help?

Many thanks

Andy

No problem.

Red plastic cap removed.

I've tried pushing the pin in to fire the bolt out, but nothing Sad

Going to leave it to soak in WD40 overnight and see if that makes a difference.

Cheers,

Andy

Key should be in it and I I dint think it is possible to lock it if not attached to the vehicle, therefore what I suggest is......

Pull out the green knob and twist it whilst Putting the bar into the bracket, then once fully in, release the knob.

If this doesn't work then then get another person to tap the underneath lightly whilst doing the same.

Key should only release once the bar is properly inserted and the the key turned to the lock position.

If you were closer then I'd happily help.

Key is in and I can see the red ring by the green handle.

Will try turning it at the same time.

Cheers all,

Andy
