Might be worth going back to dealer to identify what part or where the problem lies, I am just or just had a similar incident when my 57 RRS stopped no warning and brought it into the dealer to diagnose the proble, same rang me said knackered need a new engine, couldn't tell me why so finished up bringing it to another dealer for a second opinion, this time found that the chain linking the camshafts has snapped.

Sorry forgot to say I paid the first garage three hours labour but they only checked sensors and useless stuff like that where as the second dealer said easier just to remove the rocker covers, this is when he spotted the damage with in one and a half hour, good luck with it I hope alls well |

Unless the LR engine is bought via a factory 'exchange' system its yours or your insurance company's |

Most newer engines like this are sold as exchange units so they can remanufacture it.. |

Well, I finally picked up my car from the main stealer in UK and drove it back to Sweden over the weekend - unfortunately it developed a water leak on Saturday morning at 3am on the M25 (en-route to Sweden). No option but to carry on and keep topping it up all the way!
