There are in fact no green lanes in Scotland but a new club has started to cater for those who would like to drive on "forest track" type roads without getting their car plastered with mud or even needing to use a low ratio gearbox and who would like to see some of Scotland's scenery from the comfort of their Land Rover. Yes, these are the easy runs, no really offroad stuff. Your RRS will have no problems on these ones so long as you don't have huge wheels (very low profile tyres on big wheels tend to suffer from "pinch" flats on gravel roads). I'm not sure of the route yet but suspect it will be a run from Aberfoyle through the forests out to Comer - a remote cottage on the banks of Loch Lomond, normally inaccessible except on foot or mountain bike. It is at the north foot of Ben Lomond. Can be muddy if it rains but even a 2WD Freelander2 will handle this one with ease! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Endjin I have no idea! The club was only started last week as the result of a rift between the Committee of the SLROC and the committee member who used to run the Green Road Runs. He, along with several others who enjoyed the GRR's, have started their own breakaway club to cater for what was one of the SLROC's more popular events. The March 20th meeting will be the first meet-up. Maybe you could email them and ask them what their intentions are.............. I m not yet a member of the new club, let alone an office bearer. The problem is knowing who to contact over on the east side to get permission to access private roads. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The next SGRC outing will be at Killin on the 17th April - watch their website for details or PM me. At the moment I don't know which route will be used as there are 3 possible runs based around Killin/ Lix Toll and each is an all day run. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
