Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

If its that much of a reduction it will be the same size as a freelander! Just look at the cayenne/Tuareg , the new ones are well smaller! MY10 TDV6 SE (debadged Wink ), Santorini Black, Flappy paddles, Privacy Glass, 20" Stormers, Mudflaps!

Gone: a comprehensive list of imprezas and a Merc ML AMG

New Cayenne and Touareg are actually bigger, (100mm longer), the main area where they expect to remove the weight is from the chasis. The RRS will have an all alloy chasis.

Cheers

Sorry guys read the article again and it is the RR that is due in 2012.

The 2012 Range Rover will feature an aluminium bodyshell riveted and glued together using technology already proven on Jaguar’s XJ saloon. Although Ford has yet to give final approval to this significant development, insiders expect the green light in the next few months. “We’re just waiting to hear ‘go’,” said one source.

This will save around 40 per cent of the weight of the Range Rover’s unpainted bodyshell, which translates into a saving of between 300kg and 400kg.

Add thsi to the alloy chasis and the weight savings will be huge.

Cheers

Why would Ford need to give final approval?? They don't own LR, TATA do. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.

Gone: 3.0 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black, Ivory/Lunar interior, grand black lacquer finish, HK Logic 7.1 Surround, Privacy Glass, Adaptive Xenons, heated steering wheel.

Gone: Jaguar XF Luxury, Pearl Grey, Dove Interior

I guess the article was written before the sale to Tata.
