Help removing upper centre console trim

Hi all

I have been wanting to remove the upper console trim on my S/C to unplug the wired phone connection for a few weeks. I have been sent the LR instructions from Bobby but after trying it have stopped because it just feels like im going to snap the thing into lots of bits when i try to release the clips.

I can remove the radio side trims and remove the 2 screws but then after taking the gear knob off i am unable to release the first set of clips to take the of the trim that surrounds the knob so that i can then remove the whole upper console and hockey sticks to allow me access the the cool box.

The instructions show the positions of the clips on each trim piece but they dont seem to unclip, do i just pull hard ?

I am sh***ng myself incase i snap the clips.

Anyone on here done this?

Thanks

Carl

You lift the back, slide it a bit backward and it will come out '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

As Flydive has already said Thumbs Up It's probably never been apart before hence why it's quite tight.
