2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Key Fob

lo all,

I went out the other day, got to the place I was visiting and when I came back I couldnt unlock the car with the key. Nothing was responding.

I have since tried the wifes key which is working fine with no problems, unlocked the car with her key and then started the car with mine. The key starts the car fine with no problems and doesnt give any low battery warnings on the dash.

Any ideas what could cause this? I was thinking it must be the battery, but I have been told that if the key is knackered then it wont even start the car but it does.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

James

United Kingdom

James,

I had this yesterday - but with my L322 RR. My Wife went out and parked up/locked car, but when she came back and unlocked it all the windows went down as well. It's started fine but when she got home it would'nt lock/unlock. My key was fine. Quick qoogle bought up this - http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f10/l322-mk3...45227.html

Worked a treat and reset both Keyfobs - both now working fine.

Now I know it was a L322 RR but there may be something similar out there for a RRS? As an aside I asked her if she had parked next to some high powered electricity lines/railway. No....but when she got back to the car a X5 was parked next to her..which shares most of the electrics with a L322... I wonder if they had problems with it when they returned?

cheers Looking for a 2005-7 TDV6 HSE
