Good old Quentin gets it right just have a play with the options available, its worth having if you intend keeping your motor for a while, just for piece of mind, and will help resale value too.

I'd say its better than a manufacturer's warranty, the manfacturer's warranty doesn't cover wear and tear does it?

Apart from consumables such as brake discs, pads, etc they do cover parts that fail from premature wear & tear. For example they covered wheel bearings for me at 2 years/35k. I also had front disks replaced under warranty as they had warped. Advantage of manufacturer's warranty is everything should be covered, aftermarket that list is not as exhaustive. |

Had a call from warrantywise today saying they have a special promotion on at the moment ah ah surprise surprise saying they will offer me a 12 month policy with 10% off my original quote, i then told her i didn't need a new warranty till november so she said she will keep it on record, thats for full main dealer repairs for all break down repairs including wear & tear items (premature failures) the dealer decides weather its premature or not, hmm! i'm sure a back hander could be had and includes extras such as aircon catalists and mot repairs total price £729.00
