Good old Quentin gets it right just have a play with the options available, its worth having if you intend keeping your motor for a while, just for piece of mind, and will help resale value too.

If it is it's not the only one! Have cover from Warranty Direct for 2 x D3s (one now sold) and no problems claiming. So far they have been excellent. As long as you don't expect it to be the same as the manufacturer's warranty, if you want that buy a new one!

I'd say its better than a manufacturer's warranty, the manfacturer's warranty doesn't cover wear and tear does it?

Apart from consumables such as brake discs, pads, etc they do cover parts that fail from premature wear & tear. For example they covered wheel bearings for me at 2 years/35k. I also had front disks replaced under warranty as they had warped. Advantage of manufacturer's warranty is everything should be covered, aftermarket that list is not as exhaustive.

Had a call from warrantywise today saying they have a special promotion on at the moment ah ah surprise surprise saying they will offer me a 12 month policy with 10% off my original quote, i then told her i didn't need a new warranty till november so she said she will keep it on record, thats for full main dealer repairs for all break down repairs including wear & tear items (premature failures) the dealer decides weather its premature or not, hmm! i'm sure a back hander could be had and includes extras such as aircon catalists and mot repairs total price £729.00
