The lights were set to auto but were off as it was daylight.

mine sometimes dim and sometimes not, I just take it as a landrover quirk

My 90 used to play at full blast, "People are strange" even with no radio front on. at any random time. Previously it Killed 3 radios

I believe there is a light sensor for the satnav ive heard that they are prone to go faulty and you need a new sensor, mine does the same, nice and bright one minute dim the next Seen as i don't use the satnav it doesn't bother me but if things are in place to work i also believe they should. I will get mine sorted soon.
