Hi I need some help here found a nice 2.7 05 plate with 50k on the clock HSE plus 7k of extras for 25950.
also found a private sale 1 owner full service history 3.6 HSE 07 plate for 25500 with 80k on the clock.
this does not have a warranty but the 2.7 does, should I take the private sale or play safe with the 2.7

Which would you prefer? Remember you can purchase a warranty!

On paper the v8 looks the better deal 2.7 looks a little on the high side. as noted a warranty can be purchased seperatley and would be recomended for both vechicles that age

Having owned both, I'd say the TDV8 every time.
There really is no comparison between the engines.

In my opinion 80k is too many miles, and the 2.7 seems a tad pricey. Try and hammer the dealer!

80k miles is nothing...v8 all the way.Cars aren't selling very well at the moment so now is your chance to strike...

It's only just run in with that mileage.
