LR will supply through thevspare parts department - spare parts is a separate entity and they will have them made or have stock - note though you can't buy direct from spares as accessories

I have a good working relationship with a franchise parts dept manager and he advised me that he was unable to get these as they arent available at all. He even said if i find them on eBay for example buy them because LR havent got any and wont be making any for stock.

If you have an accident it would more than likey be made to order, god knows how long that will take Sad

Cant say if this is 100% fact but that's what was told.

That's madness. Then I suppose having a HST proves a slight screw loose anyway. Wink 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

when products become end of line, the supplier does a final production run to include spares - these parts can be held at the supplier or at the OEM spares centre. The supplier will also have to give formal lead-times and prices for additional spares in case of unforeseen requirements. LR are no different. The biggest problem with spares departments is its always an afterthought and takes ages to get sorted once vehicles go into production. Normal lead-times for spares 'shouldn't' exceed 6 weeks from order from memory.

Two alternatives:
Britparts - who stock spares for all Land Rovers (even those long out of production) and quite a few other British Marques going back to when god was a boy. Often if they don't have it in stock they get them made in a suitable quantity to keep the price down, either from the original moulds/ drawings in a few weeks

CWS4x4 often have parts from cars they have bought for breaking - most write-offs from accidents and they recycle the bits as spares. They specialise in Land Rovers but also break other 4x4's.

There is another company that specialises more in Classic car parts, cannot remember their name offhand though

Duckworths seem to carry a lot of out of production parts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

ive got a list of all part nos ill hunt it out.

I think the dealer would be referring to the part no for the retro fit kit no longer being available rather than the part no for the individual parts.

I was given a list of part numbers but the dealer told me to take no notice of them (strange) and despite me asking twice he couldnt supply them. He advised prices but said definitely no supply.

I have googled the numbers and nothing came up, the number for the full kit does though?
