More than likely a low battery or corroded terminals... coupled with cold weather = HDC fault...

Mine does HDC fault every morning but starts and works fine. I think the battery wont charge past a certain level because if i boost it then HDC fault goes away until the next day when the battery has drained slightly.

Most likely to be an aging battery but also check that all the lamps (especially the brake lights) are working because a failed lamp in the rear clusters can also throw the systems into spurious alarms. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well, the dealership says I have a bad transfer module ($578.00). Hope they are right. Thanks everyone for the quick responses. |

Hmmmmmm! Sounds like battery. If it was me I'd change the battery as it doesn't have that much life left anyway. |
