HDC Fault, Transmission Fault, Special Programs Off

I have a 2006 RRS SC with everything going wrong. Just had the car serviced last week to replace the air compressor and to recalibrate one of the air sensors. This morning the car didn't start up on the first try and now I'm showing a hdc fault, transmission fault, special programs off, lowering suspension (but doesn't) and the brake light is on. Scheduled another appointment for next week but after reading through the forum I'm led to believe its a bad battery. Could all of this really happen because of the battery? If so, How difficult are they to install? Any help would be great!

More than likely a low battery or corroded terminals... coupled with cold weather = HDC fault...

Try removing and cleaning the terminals 1st...before forking out for a new battery. RRS gone

Mine does HDC fault every morning but starts and works fine. I think the battery wont charge past a certain level because if i boost it then HDC fault goes away until the next day when the battery has drained slightly.

Deffo have the battery checked before you buy a new one.

Most likely to be an aging battery but also check that all the lamps (especially the brake lights) are working because a failed lamp in the rear clusters can also throw the systems into spurious alarms. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Well, the dealership says I have a bad transfer module ($578.00). Hope they are right. Thanks everyone for the quick responses.

Hmmmmmm! Sounds like battery. If it was me I'd change the battery as it doesn't have that much life left anyway.
