Grill Removal + SatNav DVD Removal?

Hi all

Had my SC grill swapped for a colour-coded Hawke Saker jobbie, needed to change one of the headlight bulbs but after depressing the four clips at the top and pulling on the lugs in the bottom corners it's still sticking bottom middle - is there another clip/lug there?

Don't wanna force it (also not much place to get a good grip on this grill compared to the SC one) so anyone know the 'correct' way of freeing this up? Have given a few midl pulls but not budging Confused

Also mentioned this on another thread (and seen posts from people via Search) but am confused; I thought to get to the SatNav the passenger seat needed to be moved fully forward and up but this shows the back of the unit? However, moving it fully back the underneath of the seat has a black plastic panel in place - how is this removed?

Thanks.

Ali

When i changed my front grill it was teh clips along the top and a good pull to get them out at the bottom/middle, see here

As for the sat nav i already commented on your other post that you do indeed use the method of fully up & forward, i changed my disc from the rear of the car very simple to do. The sat nav unit has a lock on the disc loader though on the right hand side from the rear of the unit if i remember correctly

^^^

Thanks Chris, seen that video and tried likewise, still refuses to budge from the bottom middle Sad

The SC Grill has plenty of space between the vents to grab hold of for giving a good hard pull, the Hawke variant is not so accomodating.

Will have another go on the satnav, how much simpler it would be if the DVD slot was facing backwards!

My thoughts exactly on the Sat Nav, as for the grill i would just play safe and contact a stockist.

Sat Nav disc change

Hi Ali
If you ensure that the seat is up and as far forward as possible - then with your left hand feel the sliding mechanism on the front left hand side of the unit. Move it across and then depress the button on the right hand side. The disc will eject - take it out gently using both hands and there you go! When replacing just offer up teh disc and it will reload. Do not forget to slide the mechanism back to lock it.
regards
Paul
