Germany 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Hi,

friends of mine had similar problems with their brand new RRS 2010 when driving on the german autobahn. Dynamic Response did not work properly. The fault: The software wasn't properly installed and calibrated in the factory.

Hope this gives a hint to your problem.

Greetings
gseum

My RRS went to dealer on 27/08/2010 - they witnessed above warning on dash, plugged in computer and ordered parts.

On 06/09/2010 collected vehicle to carry out repair but returned it same day saying they have ordered parts - again Shocked

3rd visit this week to fit parts but they have now decided there is no problem and no action will be taken...... Warning has never come on again so given up on this issue for now - has been suggested software update cured it Confused

Have other more urgent issues outstanding http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post279935.html#279935

Getting zero customer service after 10 years brand loyalty - shame as will probably not buy another JLR and don't know what to buy next time Evil or Very Mad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Poland 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

I have my car for almost 3 years now. I get this warning from time to time, 3-4 a year, mostly when it is cold. But when I switch off the engine and start again it goes away.
It is annoying, but at LR they could not find a solution, so I learned to live with that Smile My name: Patryk

Yes just don't fancy giving it to them, for them to muck around with.

Same across the board unless you buy a new car every 6 months they don't care anymore! Twisted Evil RRS Supercharged

Leaning

Get the dealership to hire you a similar vehicle or better for your trip. Do not stand for anything less.

Quote Merchandise and Goods Act 1974 - 'goods (all goods) must be seen to be fit and proper for everyday use'.
Lay in on a bit thick - say'Not happy Charlie' or whatever; and they'll respond. Believe me.

Trained as Lawyer myself but didn't practise. Dealership act as agents for rr and are responsible.

Are you sure you hadn't been drinking??

Exactly same thing last night on my 2011;
Stopped off on way home from work for a short shop, and on firing up the electrics I saw the amber warning. Turned off then on again after waiting 10 secs, still there Sad

Drove home, leaning in corners, parked up and went through the self test a couple of times to see if would clear. Unfortunately not. Manual out and read of relevant section. Seek maintenance....(should say, have a quick look at RRSSPORT.CO.UK) so had a quick search and found this thread. A little reassured that it may clear of own accord, but planned to book in to dealer next day.

Forced to drive to work in RRS, as wife needed her car, doesn't it feel different without the lean control!

Strangely enough, got to work and had to shut down to get out and check through security and when I went to start up again, the warning was gone !?!?

Depending what happens on the way home tonight, may still book into dealer to have a look.

All fine on way home tonight, keeping a close eye out still!

I don't suppose the initial occurrence had anything to do with low fuel, as I was running it low to see at what 'distance to go' the low fuel warning came on? Fuel warning came on shortly after commencing second part of last nights homeward journey, @ 35 miles to empty. Fuelled up, and second start after that was when Lean warning cleared.
Coincidence?

Low fuel sounds like a coincidence Confused

Lean issue has not come back since software update Thumbs Up

Was the power loss on junction/roundabout after slowing down - I have had that if it was and it took 4 visits to fix it - faulty brake switch and calibration blamed Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
