Probably a lack of turbo usually caused by a dirty fuel filter. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Having similar problems on a TDV6 D3 except with ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT. Fuel filter & MAF sensor changed and still doing it. Might be (on mine) EGRs but they are blanked. Could be choked intercooler (off roaring and 3 Tunisian Sahara trips). Glad it's only the offraoder that's affected, SWMBO's D3 is doing fine. |

If the car thinks there is a severe engine fault, it will go into limp mode.
