i will print a copy of that bobby and keep it in my glovebox for when the rozzers pull me over!! , so it looks like as the treads on the side are only half depth it should still be legal when they disapear, BUT totally useless at dispersing water, at 6000miles on mine i have already had the front slide on a roundabout at about 15 miles an hour in the wet!!!!

I think these 20" rims with low profile tyres are for looks only. They are useless in the wet.

My Contis have 9k on them and I have just had them switched front to rear and balanced and aligned as they were worn on the edges on the front.

I suppose that if you are buying a new RRSport then you can always spec it WITHOUT Continentals, most car makers don't fit only a single tyre makers tyres to their cars and I am sure that if enough people requested no Contis then LR would end up with a huge pile of them and might take the problem more seriously. You can do this as I know from experience as I requested years ago when buying a V8 Disco that it didn't have Pirelli's on it and it came at no extra cost on what I reckon where the most fantastic 100% road biased tyres tyres I have ever had on a car - Avon Turbospeeds.
