what is a "functioning" bull bar? do you mean that it can take some weight/force? I think these are illegal in UK... |

Yep, that's it... i.e. that it can provide a modocum of protection in impact with Tree or wildlife such as Wombat or Kangaroo... At least enough protection so you're car isn't a write off in the middle of the bush and you can get home! |

Alas, I contacted ECB and they aren't doing anything for the Sport. Damn shame as I'd like somone to do a decent bul bar (perhaps not as brutal looking as the new D4 one). 2014 SDV6 HSE, Panoramic Roof, 825w sound, Surround Cameras Gone: MY10, TDV6 Sport, Zermatt Silver, Sunroof, 18" Rally alloys. 2006 Pajero Exceed, Silver |

Have been speaking with a mate who is also a LR nut who happens to work for ARB. He has a few contacts within ARB and mentioned that he had been discussing bull bars for RRS with the development team at ARB head office last week.

Hi Jimmy, I had just about given up on ARB or anyone making a decent bull bar for the RRS. I have previously posted on a thread of a modified ARB D3 bar on an RRS. http://www.rangerovers.net/forum/viewtopic...mp;start=0 I had hoped the new ARB D4 bar would be a better fit as it also has a dropped centre grille similar to the RRS. Unfortunately the only photo I have seen of the new D4 bar looks likely that the grill drops down behind the top of the bumper part of the bar & the grille is very close to the back of the uprights which also taper towards the grille. I am very interested in an ARB bar for the RRS if they can address the poor clearance of the bar from the grille. I am located in Adelaide and would be willing to assist ARB with fitment/development if they could do it here. Hopefully we could get enough people together for a group buy |
